External disclosure of your company's environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance would cover a wide range of information, both qualitative (including environmental policies and strategies in response to stakeholder concerns), and quantitative (such as GHG emission volume). This means that it is crucial for company to select and adopt the appropriate framework for reporting your ESG information in a systematic and logical manner. 

This workshop aims to provide sustainability practitioners and SME managers a general introduction to the commonly used standards and guidelines for reporting ESG information to stakeholders, as well as the associated indicators representing level of ESG performance. Common challenges of ESG reporting practices, particularly during ESG data collection, will also be shared with typical resolutions illustrated via examples and case studies.

Mr. Alan Cheung - Project Manager, Sustainability of SGS Hong Kong Limited
Alan has more than 20 years' experience in sustainability topics. He began his career working on sustainability issues related to retail manufacturing supply chain. With prolonged exposure to the management and auditing of sustainability programs, he continues to increase his knowledge and skills regarding sustainability hot topics. Since 2015, he has been exploring ESG reporting skills in response to the launch of HKEx's ESG Reporting Guide. From then onwards, he has engaged in ESG reporting for a wide range of industries, including but not limited to financial, construction, mining, logistics, food manufacturing, garments, electronic products and batteries. In addition to his hands on ESG reporting skills, Alan has experience with sustainability report verification and other sustainability verification schemes.
