Bluetooth Qualification and Technologies Seminar (Afternoon Session)

Dec 2013 will be the historic moment for Bluetooth SIG as two important things which will significantly direct future of the Bluetooth® wireless technology and the Bluetooth SIG organization were announced.

On 4 Dec 2013, Bluetooth SIG announced the adoption of the Bluetooth® Core Specification 4.1. This important evolutionary update to the Bluetooth® core specification rolls up adopted Bluetooth® Core Specification Addenda (CSA 1, 2, 3 & 4) while adding new features and benefits. The new spec improves consumer usability, empowers innovation for product developers and extends the technology’s foundation as an essential link for the Internet of Things.

On 9 Dec 2013, Bluetooth SIG announced the revised Product Listing Process and Fee Structure. Effective 1 February 2014, Bluetooth SIG will introduce a streamlined Bluetooth® qualification and listing process along with a revised fee structure.
