As from 11 July 2013, the European commission of Cosmetic Regulation, 1223/2009/EC, will come into force , substituted the current regulation of Cosmetic Directive, 76/768/EEC, in a way to achieve a robust, internationally recognized regime which reinforces product safety taking into consideration the latest technological developments, including the possible use of nanomaterials.

The impact on this recast will bring substantive improvements on enforcing the regulation for member state of the European Union. Such changes like the requirement on Cosmetic Safety Report, scheme of notification among European member countries, appointment of Responsible person, compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), are those concerns which every company dealing with cosmetic business in EU should pay attention to.

In this seminar, not only the regulation of 1223/2009/EC will be addressed, but sunscreen regulation for US market, comparison of regulation and GMP requirement among different countries like US and ASEAN will also be discussed; some insight on it will be shared as well. Case studies on those recent recall update and supply chain management will be pinpointed and discussed in the seminar.
