Guideline Updates For SS-00259 (19th General Public Edition)

On April 30, 2021, a well-known Japanese company has updated the standard for hazardous substances to the19th-edition for general use. The new standard has taken effect since June 1, 2021. The parts, materials, and other goods that are procured by the related companies, or by third parties to which the S group outsources the design and manufacture of its electronic products shall fulfill the regulatory requirements.

Note:

Level 1: The substances and their applications classified into this Level are those that are banned for the use in parts and materials
Level 2: On the date set in each table, the substances and their applications in the respective tables shall be reclassified into Level 1
Level 3: Technical investigations on substances and their applications are conducted.
