1. 14 states of America raised minimum wage
The Associated press  and  National Broadcasting Company of the United States — It’s reported that salary is raised in Alaska, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, Rhode Island and  Vermont from 1st January, the highest of which are Massachusetts and  California, increased from 9 dollars to 10 dollars per hour . The pay in New York and West Virginia is increased to 9 dollars per hour and 8.75 dollars per hour. Besides, according to state council, the lowest hourly wage is also increased to 8.5 dollars and 8.55 dollars in Colorado and South Dakota from 1st Jan.

2. UN: Women’s activities are vital to carry out the sustainable development agenda
Ms Mlambo-Ngcuka, Executive Director, UN Women’s department pointed that women should be more involved in some activities, which is vital to realize the sustainable development agenda of 2030year. One aim of the agenda is to realize gender equality as well as strengthen powers and functions of all women, and there are also some terms referring to female powers and functions in other aims. Nowadays, more than 90 country governments responded to the call and put forward some concrete measures to support the development of women career.
