Quality and product safety are essential in the EU and particularly the toy industry. Vendors and manufacturers should comprise a well functioning quality management team to ensure their products are safe for entry into the European Union.
DVSI co-operates with SGS – CSTC & JagoProjektbetreuung with the support of The Sino-German Working Group on Product Safety, aiming to implement the high European quality standards into the Chinese Toy industry thus lowering technical barriers for a better trading between German Buyers and all global manufacturers, especially in the Far East where the majority of the manufacturing base is located.
The Training seminar covers a variety of topics not only the EU standards but also the Legal basics and law enforcements in the EU, as well as Quality Management.
The duration of the training course will be THREE (3) days.
Upon successful completion of enrollment, participants will receive two sets of training materials:
- Book 1: "Principles of European Toy Safety Law and Toy Requirements in Germany” will be sent to participant 1 month in advanced for self study
- Book 2: Issued on the day of Seminar and used through in the 3 day course.

Examination & Certification:
Upon the completion of this training course by passing the exam at the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate co-awarded by SGS and the German Toy Association (DVSI). This certificate will be recognized by the 240 members of the DVSI. Upon the completion of the course, participants will be listed on DVSI Webpage. The certificate remains valid as long as the participant takes a refresher course within 2 years.
