Reducing global carbon emissions, achieving carbon neutrality, and executing sustainable development have already become a global consensus and China is undoubtedly leading the key force in global climate governance.

At the 4th China International Import Expo, SGS announced a partnership with Microsoft, the world's premiere running on Microsoft Smart Cloud and the industry's first dual-standard S-Carbon digital carbon management intelligent cloud platform on Azure.

SGS is a world-renowned company specializing in carbon inventory and carbon audit. The S-Carbon intelligent cloud carbon management system developed by SGS is supported by Microsoft Smart Cloud Azure and its data storage, analysis and other technologies. It identifies the most suitable area, reference data, and methods when calculating enterprise carbon emissions, with results compliant with the "Guidelines on GHG Emission Accounting and Reporting" issued by Chinese regulatory authorities and requirement of international ISO 14064-1 guidelines on quantification and reporting. In addition, enterprises can leverage the calculations to participate in global projects such as the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Through effective management of corporate carbon emission targets, it helps companies in various industries to enhance their international competitiveness, green financing capabilities and brand influence under the carbon neutral target.

As the international business hub for clients around the world, SGS Hong Kong works closely with the upstream stakeholders such as the buyers and trading companies. At the same time, we surely work seamlessly with our team in China for our clients in the downstream operations in supply chain. We strive to accelerate the realization of dual-carbon goals and help companies enhancing their green competitiveness by optimizing the supply chain management with our latest S-Carbon technologies.
