Guidelines Update for SS-00259 (18th General Public Edition)
On 1 May 2020, the new standard of a well-known Japanese company, S, for the hazardous substances was updated to the 18th-edition for general use. This new standard will take full effect on 1 Jun 2020. The parts, materials, and other goods that are procured by the related companies, or by third parties to which the S group outsources the design and manufacture of its electronic products shall fulfill the regulatory requirements.
The main revisions of the 18th Edition of the standard in comparison to the 17th are as follows:
