The CE TSI directive (2008/57/EC) defines European legal requirements for railway application equipment. EN 50155 is the official standard for direct guidance in the official document OJ under the TSI directive.  The latest version of EN50155 is 2017, replacing the 2007 version that had been in use for 10 years. It provides the guidelines for design, manufacture, and documentation requirements for equipment installed on rail vehicles, as well as a clear test evaluation methodology. The test covers EMC (EN50121-3-2), electrical safety, environment and reliability, fire prevention and other aspects of the assessment.    

EN50155:2017 Product Scope

Suitable for all control, adjustment, protection, diagnostics, energy and other electronic equipment used for rail vehicles, such as voltage, current, speed sensor, communication equipment, power supply equipment.
