In recent years, increasing government agencies, international organizations, non-government organizations and multinational corporations start to concern about Corporate Social Responsibility. Hence, the enterprises are supposed to periodically follow up latest information on top of the legislation, such as current season’s updates: BSCI and ICS: Merger of Social Compliance Initiatives Successfully Enters Final Phase; New GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards Will Enhance Corporate Transparency Worldwide and etc.

1. BSCI and ICS: Merger of Social Compliance Initiatives Successfully Enters Final Phase
The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI)and Initiative Clause Sociale (ICS)have made successful progress in uniting their efforts. Having agreed on a common vision for the future, the negotiation phase has been concluded, giving way to the final implementation stage of the merger, which will become effective on 1 January 2017. The merge make two kinds of social responsibility system become complement, and greatly reduce the audit cost. We think it will be the new trend for the development of international social responsibility standards.

2. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations: about 1/5 greenhouse gas came from agriculture
FAO released a new report "Food and Agriculture Status in 2016" on October 17th saying that about 1/5 greenhouse gas came from agriculture, including forestry, fisheries and livestock production. So agriculture must make greater contribution to the fighting against climate change. The report also proposes feasible solutions, such as to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by improving farming techniques, to establish the policies good to agriculture sustainability, to increase financing flow of sustainable agriculture, fisheries and forestry and to provide funds for large-scale transformation and climate smart food production system development,etc.

3.The European Union launched the Bio4Products project to provide sustainable resources for the processing industry
 The European Union announced the launch of the Bio4Products project on Oct 6th. The project aims to reduce the use of fossil resources for essential products manufacturing, to create a real sustainable value chain,and to contribute to environment improvement. The project will last 4 years and will be funded by SPIRE which is a contract plan signed by PPP of European Union "Horizon 2020". Research institutions and companies from Belgium, Germany, Holland and the United Kingdom will participate in the project.

4.New GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards Will Enhance Corporate Transparency Worldwide 
GRI launched the world’s first global standards for sustainability reporting, giving companies a common language for disclosing non-financial information.The new GRI Standards definitively replace the G4 Guidelines, which will be phased out by 1 July 2018.The GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards will enable companies around the world to be more transparent about their impacts on the economy, the environment and society. They will also help organizations make better decisions and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The World Economic Forum has released global gender differences Report of the year. It showed the work which improving gender equality in employment has been seriouslylagged. We need to achieve the equality of men and women in the workplace after 2186year.
