(EU) No. 10/2011: Amendment on Plastic Food Contact Materials & Articles
Recently, EU had published an article amending the Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 for Food Contact Materials (FCM) and replacing it with Regulation (EU) 2016/1416.
According to the amendment, food contact plastics complying with Regulation (EU) 10/2011 as applicable before the entry into force of this Regulation may be placed on the market until September 14, 2017 and may remain on the market until the exhaustion of stocks.
The main impact should be the amendment of migration limits in Heavy Metals, mainly Aluminum and Zinc. The effective date is September 2018.
