First GRI G4 Certified Training Course Successfully Launched in Hong Kong
SGS has successfully launched the first Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 Certified Training Course in Hong Kong on 21 and 22 Apr 2015. The new two-day course attracted participants from different industries to enroll, including operator of exchanges and clearing houses, main property developers, accounting firms, corporate social responsibility (CSR) practitioners, environmental consultancy firms, green organizations and so on.
Through participating in the interactive lectures and workshops, participants have gained in-depth understanding in the new development of GRI G4 Guidelines and its application to sustainability reporting. In addition, facing the potential launching of raising Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report level from “voluntary” to “comply” or “explain” by the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) this year, the participants had opportunities to make use of GRI G4 Guidelines as a tool for preparing ESG report.
After completion of the course, participants are eligible to enroll GRI G4 exam for obtaining Sustainability Professional Qualification. SGS Hong Kong is the only GRI Certified Training Partner in Hong Kong to offer GRI certified training courses.
