In California, there are requirements on volatile organic compounds (VOC) in various products and different methods are employed.
US EPA Method 24 is used for determination of VOC in samples such as paints, printing inks, and adhesives. On the other hand, CARB Method 310 is used for various types of consumer products which include:
|Air fresheners||Odour remover|
|Artist solvent and thinner||Floor wax|
|Fabric care products||Aerosol cooking sprays|
|Cleaners (e.g. bathroom, tile, cooktop, others)||Office supplies (e.g. correction fluid)|
And in the designated methods, a number of test parameters are to be determined such as volatile content, low vapour pressure VOC (LVP-VOC), ammonia and exempt compounds.
SGS Hong Kong is capable to provide VOC test service on both methods and various product categories to fulfil your needs to comply with the Californian requirements.
