In January 2013, Japan Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) published Notice No. 595 to amend the test methods for certain food contact materials under Japan Food Sanitation Law (JFSL).

The amendment only revises the food contact material test method where the requirement remains the same as before.

Below is a summary on the revised test items:

2000 μg/g (Sum of Styrene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Isopropylbenzene and n-Propylbenzene)
