SGS is invited to speak in CSR conference for the MBA program of Chinese University of Hong Kong
On January 21st 2013, Mr. Vincent C. Y. Kong, Global Products and Services Development Manager, is invited by CUHK (Chinese University of Hong Kong) as a guest speaker to share his experience and CSR best practices in “CUMBA CSR Mini Event in 2013 - CSR Practices in Asia” which is hosted by CUHK MBA Program CSR Committee.
This annual event aims to demonstrate the importance of CSR and methods to implement CSR tools to obtain business sustainable growth and investment returns. It also gives an opportunity to share relevant experience in CSR development projects as well as consulting career in Asia. Vincent explained the motives, benefits and welfare of companies implementing CSR, a showcased best practices of sustainability engagement at various levels in the company.
Vincent further provided insights into the certification and audit services offered by SGS, and mentioned the examples such as the control of clean fuel and energy to the Hong Kong International Airport and the carbon conscious event of the Standard Chartered Marathon. He also described the cooperation with WWF (World Wildlife Fund) Hong Kong as a technical adviser for LOOP (Low Carbon Office Operation Program), and verifier for LCMP (Low Carbon Manufacture Program).
