The European Union (EU) is having a stringent control on electrical kitchen appliances and recently there were frequent recalls on China-made products.

Recently, there were plenty of China-made electrical kitchen appliances, such as coffee machine, electric oven and electric kettle etc, were found to violate the general EU or its member states’ specific food contact material regulations. These resulted in these products being rejected by the EU market, seriously affected the brand image of the manufacturers and also suffer from huge economical loss.

According to statistics, most of the recall cases are due to failure to comply with the overall migration limit or specific migration of heavy metals. In addition, there is a recall case due to organopletic problems.
