California Assembly Bill 1109 Enacts Requirements for Lighting Efficiency and Toxics Reduction
The California Assembly Bill 1109 was signed into law on October 12, 2007, and requires manufacturers to reduce the levels of toxins in lighting products, such as mercury in fluorescent and lead in incandescent, as prohibited by the European Union pursuant to RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive 2002/95/EC.
