New Offer in Response to Newly Effective Microbiological Guidelines
In February 2009, the Center of Food Safety adopted a set of microbiological criteria for bottled water, edible ice, and non-bottled drinks, stipulating the recommended microbiological criteria with reference to expert advice, international standards and consideration of local situation. The purpose of the supplementary information is to assist the trade to check, monitor and control the safety of bottled water, edible ice, or non-bottled drinks in order to ensure such products are safe and sanitary. Interpretation of microbiological analyses and recommendations on the appropriate follow-up action for food safety monitoring and control are also included in the guidelines.
Most of the microbiological criteria will come into effect from June 1, 2009.
