New Standby and Off Mode Electrical and Electronics Equipment Regulation
The European Union’s Energy-using Products (EuP) Directive 2005/32/EC was effective since July 2005 and required to come into force in Member States by 11th August 2007. In December 2008, the requirement of standby and off mode of electrical and electronic equipments was published, and entered into force on 7th Jan 2009. The regulation covers wide ranges of E&E products:
