Thomson Research Associates in Discussions with SGS Regarding Anti-Microbial Treatment Testing
SGS Softlines signed an agreement with Thomson Research Associates (TRA) on 6th November of 2008 as a first step in discussions on an anti-microbial treatment testing agreement for textiles and polymers. SGS can provide anti-microbial treatment testing services to clients of TRA.
Thomson Research Associates, whose headquarters are in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, sells its Ultra-Fresh® brand directly and through distributors worldwide to over 200 companies in more than 40 countries. The brand and its logo promise the highest standards of antimicrobial protection.
TRA has its Ultra-Fresh® trademark registered in more than 16 countries around the world. It is used on a variety of products including hosiery, apparel, bedding, furniture, kitchen and bathroom products, carpets and flooring.
Silpure®, another brand name of TRA, utilizes the natural ability of silver to limit the growth of odor-causing bacteria and represents a new generation antibacterial technology for topical application to textiles.
