SGS Acquires a 50% Stake in Bluesign Technologies Group
On 16 Jul 2008, SGS is pleased to announce that it has acquired a 50% shareholding in Bluesign Technologies AG, a St. Gallen (Switzerland) based company specializing in the management of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) issues along the supply chain of the textile industry for the enhancement of sustainable development.
The convergence of the Bluesign and SGS visions of future sustainability and their shared passionate mission for innovation will result in a synergy that will strengthen SGS as a leading provider of sustainability solutions for the industry. Using the SGS global network of expertise and specialists, this partnership will facilitate the implementation of the Bluesign® standard throughout the entire textile supply chain, thus ultimately benefit our valued customers.
