ORBIS Hong Kong has become the first Hong Kong international charity organisation to attain the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification on fundraising activities.
ORBIS Hong Kong was established in early 90s when a group of impassioned individuals who shared the dream of a world free from preventable blindness came together to raise public awareness about eye care issues.

In October 2007, ORBIS Hong Kong  have demonstrated their devotion to quality services by attaining the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems certification from SGS Hong Kong Ltd in the scope of provision of fundraising activities in Hong Kong. It is also the first time that the charity organisation achieved the ISO 9001 certification. As quoted, this outstanding achievement was made due to the great commitment and efforts paid by ORBIS. The ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems certification enables ORBIS Hong Kong to continuously enhance their management standards to realize their dream of a caring world free from the curse of preventable blindness.
