The first non-ferrous metal trader in the world obtained the ISO 9001:2000, IECQ QC 080000 and RoHS certifications
Established in 1960, Kwong Lee (Asia) Metal Company Limited specialise in the trading of various non-ferrous metals and the provision of slitting services. In 2005, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Johnson Electric Trading. Having engaged in Hong Kong metal trading market for more than 40 years, Kwong Lee has already built up a solid business foundation, outstanding reputation and is at the forefront of this sector.
In August 2006, Kwong Lee (Asia) attained 3 international certifications at one time, namely ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System Certification, IECQ QC 080000 Certification for Hazardous Substance Process Management and RoHS System Certification, and became the first non-ferrous metal trader in the world with both IECQ QC 080000 and RoHS certifications.

The achievement has demonstrated that the company has adopted effective measures to ensure that customers are provided with quality products that are in compliance with international requirements.
To reinforce the implementation, Kwong Lee organised “The European Union Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Forum” and invited the specialist from SGS as the speaker. Having successfully obtained the above three certifications, Kwong Lee is able to further enhance her corporation’s values and consolidate her position in non-ferrous metal trading.
