European Commission has laid down a new Regulation (EU) No. 995/2010, also called EU Timber Regulation, to prohibit illegally harvested timber and products placing into EU market from 2013. Listed timber and timber products including sawn wood, wooden board, wooden frames, pulp and paper and wooden furniture are controlled under this Regulation. Importers of such products are required to comply with the regulation while the downstream suppliers shall provide the necessary information. The aim of this seminar is to lead the timber product buyers, purchasers, manufacturers and sourcing organizations to understand about the benefit of EUTR.
