With the increasing awareness of hazardous substance products can have a significant impact on both environment and health, many countries and buyers have set up rules and regulations to restrict or prohibit the use of hazardous substances in different levels.  However, fire safety is the biggest concern above all.  To identify the high risk factors in the supply chain, buyers will evaluate their suppliers by using relevant codes and standards of occupational health and safety so as to see if they comply with such standards.  And BSCI is one of the international schemes which has explicit requirements on health and safety.
