Energy Low Carbon Manufacturing Program (LCMP) Verification
Low Carbon Manufacturing Program (LCMP) verification services from SGS – helping manufacturers and investors to reduce carbon emissions and improve environmental performance.
Manufacturing in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) accounts for some 30% of China’s total exports and represents the world’s highest concentration of manufacturing infrastructure. According to the Federation of Hong Kong industries, the country is invested in 55,000 PRD factories. Supporting mainland China’s national energy saving plan the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Hong Kong, sponsored by the Green Dragon Fund, has developed the LCMP to help investors, manufacturers and their clients to improve environmental performance.
As an approved verification partner we can help your organization demonstrate its commitment to environmental and social responsibility. LCMP is a carbon accounting and labeling system which enables manufacturers to measure the effectiveness of their carbon emission reduction activities and equip them with best practice in greenhouse gas (GHG) management.
By first engaging factories operated by Hong Kong companies, as well as their international customers, the program’s goal is to ensure that low carbon practices are learnt and implemented across the supply chain. WWF developed with technical input from the Hong Kong Productivity Council and Azure International.
