Consumer Goods and Retail ISO 20121 – Sustainable Event Management – Awareness Training
This training has been designed to help you explain what Sustainable Events are and understand the requirements for a Sustainable Event Management System (SEMS) based on the ISO 20121 standard.
Events impact on the environment, economy and social welfare at several levels including water consumption, solid waste production, energy consumption, effects on biodiversity, employment options, supplier selection, etc. The ISO 20121 standard defines the specification for a sustainability management system for event management certification.
The training is an introduction for anyone involved in the development, implementation and management of a Sustainable Event based on ISO 20121. If you plan to complete other training, such as the ISO 20121 Implementation or the SEMS Internal Auditor Training, you will receive during this training the knowledge and understanding of ISO 20121 upon which to build auditing skills.
The training comprises lecture and workshop exercises. Participants are not expected to possess knowledge of sustainable event management systems or ISO 20121 before attending the course.
